Detailed Therapy Information
Therapeutic Massage: Utilized in the treatment of postural conditions, functional body strain, work place injuries, and chronic body pain, amongst many other conditions. Your therapist will start with a physical assessment and thorough questionnaire to determine a treatment plan to best treat the cause of your symptoms, to restore mobility and realign your body. This style of treatment will be very specific and goal oriented, and may incorporate various types of massage to reach the set treatment goals. If you experience pain, or discomfort and want to return to a pain free life, this is the massage for you.
Sensory Calming: Primarily used to help soothe the mind and decrease physical stress caused by emotional stress. Sensory calming or relaxation treatments utilize slow, long, flowing techniques in a general manner to ease the nervous system, decrease blood pressure, increase local circulation and promote lymphatic drainage. If you need to relax, unwind and shake off your daily stress, this type of massage is for you.
Deep Tissue Massage: Long, slow, deep, specific techniques are used to target the deep layers of the musculoskeletal system and the deep chains of myofascial tissue. By accessing these deep layers, you will begin to see changes in your condition much quicker. Your therapist will work within your comfort zone where pressure is applied, and assess your tissues to determine the depth of pressure used. This type of treatment is goal oriented and specific in nature with a treatment plan in mind.
Athletic/Sports Massage: If you are an athlete, musculoskeletal health is of the utmost importance. To maintain good systemic health, avoid injury, increase mobility and maximize function to perform optimally, you’ll need to work consistently with a health team. This is where sports massage comes in. Your therapist will formulate a treatment to target your specific overused muscles to increase local circulation and oxygen, while lengthening short, tight muscle fibers. This will reduce your recovery time and keep your training schedule on track and keep you in the game. By increasing your mobility and tissue oxygen, and giving you exercises your performance will be greatly enhanced. You’re one step closer to being the best you can be in your sport!
Pregnancy Massage: Hello mom to be! During this exciting time while your body is transforming, it’s important to prepare for the arrival of your baby by taking stress off of specific body areas, and decreasing swelling. We want you to be as comfortable in your body as possible. We know exactly how the body changes during this time and the importance of keeping your body aligned and in balance. Pregnancy massage is especially recommended for the second and third trimesters. It’s very important to let your therapist know if you are pregnant, so we can work on and avoid certain areas.
Dry Cupping: A negitive pressure vacuum suction is created to improve muscle tone, decrease myofascial adhesions and elongate connective tissue. Cupping works to increase oxygen and local circulation to body tissues, while moving deep inflammation and toxins to the surface for release by opening lymphatic pathways. Cupping techniques vary from leaving the cups suctioned to specific areas, while massaging others to using the cups as the massage medium in creating a tissue pull with the suction cups. Cupping can be used as a treatment on its own, or as part of another type of treatment to assist in achieving optimal results.
Concussion Therapy: Return to Sport, Return to Work, Return to Health

Vestibular Rehabilitation:
Shockwave Therapy:
Shockwave therapy is becoming more common in the health and wellness industry. This technology involves delivery of high-pressure non-electrical waves directly into the injured site via the skin with a gel medium. This is fast, non-invasive and effective way of treating chronic pain, tennis elbow, tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and many other over use syndromes. Your your health practitioner will assess you first to confirm whether you are an appropriate candidate for shock wave and the treatment is given once in a week for 3-6 weeks.
Cold Laser Therapy:
LASER stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. It involves an application of low-intensity infrared spectrum, which penetrates the skin and stimulates the cells in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons and promotes healing. It is mostly used to treat sports injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, wound healing and arthritis. It is a safe alternative to pain medication and can reduce healing time.
